Stephan “Steve” Reichel, age 60, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his sons on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Steve was born in Racine on May 19, 1955 to John and Daphne Reichel. A lifelong resident of Franksville, on November 5, 1977, he married the love of his life Sharon (nee Michel) at St. Louis Catholic Church. Steve was employed by CNH for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2010. He had many interests and could fix anything, but especially enjoyed working on his 1967 Chevelle and spending time with his four grandchildren. Steve’s loyalty and love of family and friends were indescribable. His kindness guided us in our lives and he inspired us with his resilience as he coped with numerous illnesses over the years.
Steve will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Dear Father of Steve (Katie), Tom (Adele) and Nick (fiancé Meg) Reichel. Loving Papa of Allyson, Dane, Reid and Kate. Brother of Kathy (Gary) Rochau, Karen (Rob) Ludwig, the late John “Moose” (Terri) Reichel and Jeff Reichel. Brother-in-law of Judy Michel, Kathy (Dennis) Guth, Joe (Nancy) Michel, Kenny (Judy) Michel, Sue(Darryl ) Hendricks, Chris (Cal) Riendeau, Dan (Linda) Michel, Colleen (Tim) McIntosh and Denise Michel. Preceded in death by his parents John and Daphne Reichel, Granny Liz and his in-laws Joe and June Michel. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the FUNERAL HOME from 9AM until the time of service at 11:30AM. Interment to follow at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery.
