Steve Joseph Somogji

Steve J. Somogji of East Troy,
died Sunday July 29, 2001 at Lakeland Health Care Center at the age of 84yrs. Born June 22, 1917 to parents George Somogji and Julia Somogji nee Lutzo in Milwaukee, WI. Steve is a graduate of Lincoln H.S. in Milwaukee, WI. On May 14, 1994 Steve married his 2nd wife Ednah Hardaker nee Bayley at St James United Methodist Church in East Troy, and has been an East Troy resident since. Steve worked for Schlitz Brewery as a Supervisor, He was a member of the East Troy Masons, Past President of the Wisconsin Chapter of Airstream Campers, a member of the Red Arrow Divison of the National Guard and a member of St James United Methodist Church.
Steve is survived by his wife Ednah nee Bayley of East Troy, Sons: Stephen of Elkhorn, Robert Joan of Milwaukee, and Gary of Lannon, WI. Daughter: Patricia Anderson of Waukesha. 9 Grandchildren, and 7 Great children. Sister: Helen Szombathelyi of West Allis. 6 Step Children: Rita Dan Davies of East Troy, Jean David Bayley of East Troy, Carol Hardaker of East Troy, Nancy Dan Brosnan of Mukwonago, Dennis Ellen Hardaker of East Troy, Eileen Jay Ryan of Davenport, Iowa. Also Survived other relatives and friends. Steve is preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Alma Kanitz ”1990”, Daughter in Law Barbara Jean Klinger ”1973”and the late Theresa Eileen Anderson.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday Aug. 1, 2001 at 11:00 AM at ST JAMES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, EAST TROY, with visitation from 9:00 Am until the time of service 11:00 AM. Pastor Joan Goebel officiating. Interment Highland Memorial Park.
