Steven Dostal

Woke up in his heavenly home on July 13th, at the age of 67 years, four months, and 21 days. Dear husband for 40 years of Susan. Best dad ever to Sara Jean, Courtney, and Christopher. Best friend of Gary and Annie Krause. Loved by siblings Frank Dostal and Paula (Ralph) Horley and their family. Also missed by Tavish and all the furry grandkids.

Steve spent his professional life as a pharmacist, working for many years at West Allis Memorial Hospital and most recently at the Aurora St. Luke’s Health Center in Franklin. He leaves behind a loving church family at Grace Downtown, where he lived his faith in various ways: from serving as head usher to gardening to decorating the church for Christmas and Easter. His joy was “putzing” in the house and garden, helping his kids with various home projects, and bestowing basement treasures on us. We miss his sharp sense of humor and his heart of gold but rejoice in knowing he’s forever home in heaven.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, July 18th from 4-6:30pm with a service to follow at GRACE EV LUTHERAN CHURCH (1209 North Broadway, Milwaukee). Burial to take place at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery the following day.
