Wesner, Susan J.
(Nee Schilz) Age 71, of Franklin, was welcomed back home into God’s loving embrace after a valiant struggle from a long respiratory illness and pneumonia on January 11, 2018. Survived by a loving husband Jay and daughter Nicole, of Des Plaines, IL. Loving sister of Sally (Jerome) Habanek and aunt of Kate Habanek. Beloved “Oma” to grandsons Donovan and Cullen. She was a daughter-in-law to Helen Wesner, of St. Francis and a sister-in-law to Ronald and Delores Wesner, of Waukesha. She is further survived by nephews Steve Wesner, of Waterford, Dan Walsh, of Waukesha, Chris Walsh, of Eagle Springs Lake, other relatives, and friends.

Susan was a graduate of the old St. Mary’s Academy, Marquette University, and the University of Missouri where she earned a master’s degree in Non-Profit Business Administration. Susan was a past executive director for many years of the non-profit Careers Industries Workshops, with facilities in Racine and Burlington. She was an exceptional person with a great amount of compassion, who devoted her lifelong career to helping those people with disabilities.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 21st, from 3 PM – 5 PM, at the funeral home followed by a Eulogy Service at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Marquette University or Vitas Ruth House.
