Strassman, Susan Mary
A life long resident of Bay View and member or St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church died Thursday June 2, 2005 of complications following surgery.
The first child of Robert C. and Alice King Strassman. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces, and nephews. They are: Clare and Noah Kanter and Andrew, Zachary, Katherine, Elizabeth and Margaret Strassman. She is survived by her brothers, Charles, Richard Mary and John Ann Strassman and her sister, Anne Arnie Kanter.
She was a trustee of St. Augustine?s Parish and past president of the board of directors at St. Mary?s Academy. She also served on the board of directors for the Bay View Community Center. She was treasurer of Badger Die Casting Corp. for over 20 years. Prior to that, she was vice president and controller of the Marine National Exchange Bank. In 1961, she graduated from the Marquette University Business School.
Sue was an enthusiastic supporter of theater and music in Milwaukee and an avid traveler. She loved her garden.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, at 11:30 AM at St. Augustine of Hippo Church, 2530 S. Howell Ave. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10 AM until time of Mass. 11:30AM.
