Gieschen, Suzanne “Sue” M. (Nee Degner)

Passed peacefully into Eternal Life on Wed. Jan. 9, 2019 at the age of 85. Dear wife of John for 64yrs. Beloved mother of Paul (Mary), Karen (Bob) Heebsh, Tim (Denise) and Jane (Greg) Howe. Loving grandma of Brian, Philip, Katelyn, Elyse, Kayla, Jessica, Amelia, Abigail, Lauren, Jon, Emily, Margaret and Molly. Great grandma of 4. Sister of Barbara Ahlbrand and the late Mary Fedke. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place on Mon. Jan. 21, 2019 at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH 7821 W. Lincoln Ave. West Allis from 4pm until the time of memorial service at 6pm. Private family interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

For over 35 years Sue volunteered as a manager of rummage sales to benefit Martin Luther High School. For many years, she did personal catering, providing unique and delicious hors d’oeuvres to parties in private homes.

Sue lived her Christian faith in all that she did. She had a servant heart and regularly put the needs of others ahead of her own. She was fun-loving, outgoing, always cheerful, and seldom missed an opportunity to tease. She loved taking her grandchildren to shows and outings and is dearly loved by all of them. Her extended family and her many friends will miss her caring, her stories, her laugh, her spunk, and her quick wit.
