Attachment
It is with a heavy heart that I write this.
On Thursday, November 30th, 2023, my Mother, Sylvia Ann Delgado, passed away at the age of 70 years.
A person can have a number of health issues which can contribute to their demise and I have no doubt this was a huge factor in my Mothers passing. However, I do believe that people can die of a broken heart and after my Father’s passing this past May, she was never the same.
Dear Mom,
I am forever grateful for the late night conversations, the silly comments about our day, the stories of me a little hellion as a child. I am happy beyond words to have reconnected with you and Dad after our time away. The joy we all had to see the kids with their loving Grandparents.
To say that the Family is heart broken would be an understatement. For in our eyes you were taken too soon.
In every terrible situation there is a silver lining, as hard as it is for us to see now. We know that you are home with Dad, where you wanted to be. You no longer suffer the pain of his loss and for that I rejoice for you.
We will forever mourn losing you, Mother. But just as with Father, you will have an Honored and Loving place in our homes, never to be forgotten. We will continue to look out for each other as you have wanted us to.
I will miss our late night conversation, talking about the kids, and your laughter when I say something outlandish. But most of all, I will miss you, Dear Mother.
Know that I Love You
Your Son,
“Eddie”
“En Mi Corazón Siempre Brillarás, Madre Querida. Tu Amor y Enseñanzas Son Mi Guía Eterna.”
Sylvia, the children and I are truly shocked and saddened at your passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I am glad the kids got to know you and Ed as they grew up. May you find happiness with your Ed in paradise. You will be missed.
I am saddened to hear of Sylvia’s passing. I met her when she moved to The Woods. We did coloring together & ate supper together several times in the dining room. She often spoke of her late husband. She had a nice Thanksgiving with her family bringing the catered meal to her apartment. She said her young grandson bore a striking resemblance to her husband and that brought her joy.
