Thomas George Flemming
1949 – 2024
Born to eternal life Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband for 52 years of Nadine A. Flemming (nee Murawski). Cherished father of Devon, Denna, Creston, and Darla Flemming. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Tom was a 1967 graduate of Messmer High School and a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he met Nadine. Tom and Nadine were married at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee and were committed to raising their children in the Catholic faith. They sacrificed so their children could attend Catholic grade schools and high schools. Tom believed in the importance of weekly Mass attendance and the first thing he would ask for when the family traveled was the location of the Catholic Church and Mass schedule, so the family could worship together.
Tom served in the Army National Guard and the Air Force Reserve for 23 ½ years retiring as a Master Sergeant, E-7. He worked primarily in manufacturing supervision and retired as a Correctional Officer from the Milwaukee County House of Correction after 18 years of service.
The family expresses a special thank you to the staff at Froedtert Hospital, especially the oncology, radiation oncology, and palliative teams, as well as the 7CFAC nurses and staff for their loving and empathetic care.
