Thomas R. Forness

Thomas R. Forness of Milwaukee WI passed away at age 67 in Leuven, Belgium on December 22, 2023. Beloved husband for 42 years of Mary Ann (née Davis); dear father of Kelly and Philip (Jennifer) Forness and Meghan (Danny) Chairez; best grandpa of Felicity and Leonora Forness and Benjamin and Noah Chairez. Tom is also survived by his sisters, Beth (Chris) Simmons of Greentown PA and Karen (Bruce) Ritterson of Wilmington DE. He is further survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law: John (Kim Anh) Davis, Jim (Diane) Davis, Jerry (Carol) Davis, Jean Davis, Joan (Scott) Burks, Judy Davis, Joe (Yolanda Elizalde) Davis and Jeff (Dora) Davis. He was the fond uncle and great-uncle of many. Tom was pre-deceased by his parents, Tom and Marion Forness. He was born in Philadelphia PA. After graduating from Radnor High School in 1974, he worked at TV Guide magazine for 15 years. It is here that he met Mary Ann in 1980 and they married in October 1981. Tom and Mary Ann began their family in West Chester PA, relocating to Brookfield WI in 1990. Tom loved people, animals and nature. He so enjoyed watching sunrises over his beloved Lake Michigan and never took for granted the beauty in the changing colors of the lake throughout the day. Tom will be remembered for his perpetual kindness, his friendliness to all and his integrity.

There will be a Celebration of Life Mass at Three Holy Women – St. Hedwig in Milwaukee WI on Tuesday, January 2nd at 11AM preceded by a visitation at the church from 10-11AM.
