DeCheck, Tony J.
of Franksville Passed away at his home on Tues. June 4, 2002 at the age of 81yrs. He was born in Racine on March 19, 1921 to Pasquale and Magdelinanee Laguardia DeCheck. On Oct. 2, 1943 at St Rose Church in Racine, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Emerich.
He served in the United States Army, 518th Ordnance during WWII. He was employed as a Supervisor at Twin Disc, retiring after 46 years.Tony was a member of the Caledonia Lions Club,the Harvey Funk American Legion Post # 494 and St. Louis Catholic Church in Caledonia.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn nee Emerich DeCheck;Daughters Gina Randy Knierim and Gwen Gene Lebon, and sons Gary Karen DeCheck, Gregg Penny DeCheck, Grant Darlene DeCheck and Guy Merry DeCheck. Loving Grandfather of Jessica, Nicole, Danielle and Anthony Knierim, Gavin DeCheck, Jacob DeCheck, Desiree, Shane and Justin Lebon, Matthew and Amanda DeCheck and Toni, Emily and Guy DeCheck. Also surviving are his sister Josephine Meyers and brother Michael DeCheck. Brother-in-law of Floyd Emerich, Dorothy Orischak and Eileen Zeisse. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Katherine LaBelle and Laura Cichanofsky and his brothers William and Dominic DeCheck.
Funeral services will be held at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL on Sat June 8, 2002 at 10:00am with Fr Mark Danczyk officiating. Burial will be in the St. Louis Church Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and at the funeral home on Sat. from 9:00am until the time of service 10:00am. There will be a Prayer Vigil service at the funeral home chapel on Friday at 7:00pm. If so desired memorials to the Caledonia Lions Club appreciated.
