Symons, Vernon F. “Vern”
Passed away September 14, 2015 at the age of 90. Loving husband of Arlene and the late Jean. Dear father of Susan R. (John) Filipowicz, Scott C. (Lesli) Symons, and the late Mark S. Symons. Step-father of Susan (Jerry) Gifford, Mark (Debbie) Minshall, Allan (Vickie) Minshall, and Robert Minshall. Beloved grandfather of Indy “Todd” (Anya) Nebeker. Brother of Barry (Donna) Symons. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 10 AM – 11AM, at DIVINE PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH (3203 S. 76th St.). Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Vernon was a proud WW2 Navy veteran, past president of Badger State Wood Carvers Association, and an avid Whitnall Park golfer. Vern loved nothing better than telling or hearing a good joke. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Divine Peace Lutheran Church.
