Passed away peacefully on Dec. 9, 2015 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Nancy(Nee Bernhardt) for 44 years. Loving father of Douglas(Kathy Mitchell), Daryl(Beth), Terri(Chris) Harris, and Tammi Woodward. Further survived by his brother Harold(Georgia) of Missouri, plus 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Vern was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from New Berlin Schools as a custodian. A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 17, from 6-7PM at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Corner of HWY 18 and 67 Dousman, WI.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to “Our Next Generation” would be appreciated. The Hohenfeldt family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Elmbrook Hospice and all the helpers for their caring and compassionate care.
