Born to Eternal Life on Friday September 4, 2009 at age 91 years. Beloved husband of Diane nee Kitzki. Dear father of Amy Dennis Zellers and Scott Kelly Weltz. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Tyler, Jack, and Allison. Brother of Shirley Vernon Chizek and Lorna Bill Moldenhauer. Preceded in death by his first wife Minnie nee Durlin, and his parents Henry and Julia Weltz. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services Tuesday September 8th at 11:00 AM at TRINITY Ev. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2500 S. 68th St. Interment Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the church from 9 AM until time of services 11 AM.
Vern lived a life of public service, serving in the US Army during WW II and retiring as the Tax Commissioner of the City of Milwaukee. He will be greatly missed.
