Victoria M. Graves (nee Krysztowiak)

Victoria was called home to eternal life on August 28, 2023 at age 80.  She was the loving mother of Michael (Alicia), Paul (Michelle) and Christopher Graves.  Doting Grandmother to Lyla, Ella and Ian Graves.  Loving sister of Irene Kuchan (Joseph) and Harriet Kowalski.  Dear Aunt to Jennifer Donohoe, Jeffrey Donohoe, Paulette Kowalski Muller, Peter Kuchan and her Goddaughter, Victoria Clark.  Great Aunt to Isabella, Mason, Cole and Alice.

Victoria was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 12, 1943 to Irene and Frank Krystowiak.  She graduated from Madonna High School before attending St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing and graduating in 1965.  She worked as a nurse and married Lee Graves later that same year.  After devoting herself to raising her three sons, she returned to serving the sick and vulnerable as a home health nurse in the Milwaukee area in 1991 before retiring over two decades later.

Victoria’s work as a nurse was a natural extension of who she was as a person; giving and kind, looking out for others and putting them before herself.  Devoutly Catholic, she internalized the teachings of Christ and exhibited them through her charity and kindness to anyone who was lucky enough to have known her.  Her selflessness knew no bounds.

Victoria’s family and friends are welcome to honor and remember her at a visitation on Saturday,

September 9 at ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC CHURCH (9306 W. Beloit Rd.) from 10am-12pm,

with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that well-wishers please consider a donation to the American Lung Association.

We worked together at ANEW in Wauwatosa. I absolutely loved working with her! Kind, forgiving, gentle, and very good at her job. My favorite times were eating lunch together! I considered her a great work friend, and have continued to think about her even after all these years. Such a beautiful person. Inspiring. May she rest well with the Lord and watch over her family.
