Kordus, Virginia “Jinny”
Found peace and rest with the Angels on May 18, 2012. Preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Bob Kordus. Survived by sons, William Lin, Kenneth Charlene, Rick Maureen, Randy Gail, and Robert Beth. Grandchildren, Rich Kelley, Amanda Ryan, Angelic Chad, Jennifer, Justin, Krista, and David. Dear Great Grandma of Max and Cade. Further survived by cousins, Fr. Schubert and many other dear friends.
Jinny was an active member of St. Lawrence Parish for over 40 years. Past President of Christian Women’s Society. Past Vice-President of the Parish Council. Secretary of St. Rafael Seniors. Member of Greenfield Seniors and St. Mary’s Academy Alumnae Associations. Jinny loved to travel and taught us to love our trips. She enjoyed a good Southern Comfort Old Fashioned, playing cards, casino trips and “any excuse for a party”.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Lukes’s Heart Tower, Hales Corners Care Center, Lexington Heritage and St. Camillus Skilled Nursing and Hospice for the compassionate care they always provided to her. Special thanks to Dr. T. Edward Hastings and Dr. Aileen Tan for always knowing what was best for our Mom.
Jinny was well known for her hearty laugh and sunny outlook on life. Her devotion to her “boys” and their wives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren created a family that shared laughter, love and respect. Every day an adventure, every party a surprise, and every day a gift of love!
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to The Heart Failure Society of America.
Mom always said, “It’s A Great Life If You Don’t Weaken”, and Mom had a great life!
Visitation Wednesday, May 23rd at St. John The Evangelist, 8500 w. Coldspring Rd. from 9:30-11:00. Followed by Mass at 11:00 am. Private internment Arlington Park Cemetery.
