Born August 22, 1922, called home by the Lord March 26, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Betty Jane Nee Willms Petzke. Loving father of Susan Akset, Diane Jim Schrieber and Joann Randall Kroes. Dearest grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by his parents Charles and Alwine Nee Schmidt Petzke, one great-grandson, and one sister-in-law Shirley Ray Wagner. Survived brothers and sisters in law Russell Betsy Willms, Gerald Judy Willms, Ronald Maria Willms, June John Kah, Bernice Martin Gorecki and Judy Rodger Londo, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation Monday, March 29th at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7900 S. Nicholson Rd. from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM, with Funeral Service at 12:30 PM. Interment Oakwood Rest Cemetery.
Wilbur was a lifetime member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Baptized, Confirmed and Married at Trinity.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated.
Wilbur lived life to the fullest as a farmer, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, welder, set up man. Retired from Bucyrus International. Hunting and fishing were also a large part of his life, and sheeps head games with his buddies.

My grandparents Wilbur and Betty were the absolute best grandparents anyone could ask for. I grew up on the farm learning so much and going to the market. Visiting them at their cabin up north and fishing. I miss them so very much, but I am sure they are so glad to be together again.
