William A. Benedict – “Bill”, passed away on August 7th 2024 at age 55.

Survived by life partner Shannon Wagner and her family Major James Wagner, Sandra Wagner and James Wagner II (Cassandra).  Mother Kathy Arenz (Mike Behl), sister Elizabeth Arenz.  Brothers Jim Benedict (Melanie), David Griffith (Dana), John Griffith (Peggy), Phil Agnew (Terri), Chris Coombs, Tim Leach.  Niece Kori Benedict and Nephew Jayson Benedict.  Long time dog dad to Duster and Rufus.

Preceded in death by father Gary Benedict, grandmothers Doris Benedict and Ilene Kassel, grandfathers Herbert Benedict and Phillip Olson. His beloved dog Phoebe.

Bill was a long-time past employee of Walgreens and Radio Shack as Store Managers where he worked long hours and days to ensure his customers were satisfied.

He was an avid fan of Wisconsin sports teams… Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Bucks.  Whether he was watching the games or listening to them on the radio, you could be assured he was tuned in.

Public burial and gravesite service will be held on Wednesday August 14th at 2:30pm at Highland Memorial Park 14875 W Greenfield Ave New Berlin, WI 53151 Please arrive by 2:15pm.  No specific attire is required, please wear whatever you are comfortable in.  A short service will be held.

Bill’s Celebration of Life will be on Thursday August 22nd from 4pm-9pm at Club Paragon 3578 S 108th St Greenfield, WI 53228

We felt it would be fitting to have it there as we had played darts and softball for Club Paragon for many years and we had Bill’s 50th birthday party there. Bill always enjoyed the food and atmosphere that Jeff Willms and Robin Gilmore-Willms  provide.

Guests are encouraged to wear Hawaiian attire. Leis will be provided for all guests. Please dress in whatever you are comfortable in. This is intended to be fun and share memories.

Appetizers, pizzas and beverage will be served.

Jim will share memories at approximately 6pm, be prepared. 😁

Thank you to everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers the past few days. Our family is very thankful and happy to know that Bill was so well liked by so many people.

    I am praying for you all. This is not the way it should be. Billy was young, intelligent, and kind. I’ll keep the kindness he shared to me, on my visit to Jim and Sandy Wagners’, forever in my heart.
    May God sustain you with Happy Memories and Stories of Billy’s childhood and life.
