William “Bill” Arnold Schultz, age 75, went to be with his Lord on March 23, 2018 following a long, defiant battle with cancer. Bill was born in Racine, WI on April 3, 1942, the son of Arnold H.H. Schultz and Grace A. Olson. He was united in marriage to Ann (nee Petersen) on October 24, 1970. Together they made a home in Franklin, WI and raised their children Kurt and Karin. Following his graduation from USMMA he continued with his service to the country as a merchant marine and sailed the world as First Mate of the USS Manhattan. Bill was a retired maritime surveyor and owned his own business, Marine Service Bureau, Inc. from the mid 70’s until his retirement in 2011. Bill attended Faith Baptist Church in Oak Creek and Greendale Baptist Church in Greendale. Bill was outspoken about his passion for the Lord Jesus Christ and he served in multiple capacities at Southeastern Wisconsin Youth for Christ for almost 30 years. He loved all sort of merchant vessels, lighthouses, and trains. Bill had a vast knowledge of an assortment of topics and would showcase this while watching Jeopardy or playing Trivial Pursuit. His true passion was gardening, and many individuals have benefited from the delicious fruits of his labor. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Christ.
Bill is survived by his wife Ann; son Kurt (Amber) and their children Quinlan and Jaidan of Pensacola, FL and daughter Karin of Marquette, MI; brother Ron Schultz of Franksville, WI; sister-in-law Verena Petersen, brother and sister-in-law LeRoy and Sharon Petersen, and brother and sister-in-law Jack and Pat Petersen. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Russell Petersen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church in Oak Creek with visitation from 9:30-11:00am with service to follow. Fellowship meal will be provided at Faith Baptist Church following with internment at McPherson Cemetery in Raymond.
Memorials to either Southeastern Wisconsin Youth for Christ or Master’s Craftsman of Omro, WI have been suggested.
