William “Bill” Fremont Simpson

Called Home on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at the age of 83.

Loving husband of Betty. Dear father of Willie, Ben (Vera), and Matt Simpson. Step-dad of Bryan (Elizabeth) Buchholz, Caryn (Rich) Lewandowski, Robert (Sung) Buchholz, Dyan (Kurt) Goeller, and Ellyn (Bob) Heicher. Proud grandpa and Poppy of Jocelyn, Alex, Gabriel, Valentina, Oliver, Sarah (Alex), Melissa (Cruz), Lindsey, Nick, Corita (Willfredo), Eric (Kaiya), Jenn (Michael), Robby, Erika (Mark), Jake (Ashley), Kaitlyn, Drew, Emily, and Sam. Great-grandpa of Laney, Hallie, Layla, Jaelyn, Lenora, Alex, Mavis, Kyren, Abby, Joseph, Ryan, Lucas, Jane, Travis, Carson, Robert, Baby D, and two more on the way. Great-great-grandpa of Adryan. Brother of Mike (Liz), Sherry (Gary), and Tony (Denise).  Preceded in death by his brother Bob. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Born in Salt Lake City, UT, and raised in Nampa, ID, William joined the US Navy and later earned a degree in education at Boise Junior College. He enjoyed many things including golf, the arts, opera, museums, and a good cherry pie. He was an active member of Hales Corners Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2024 at Hales Corners Lutheran Church (12300 W. Janesville Rd Hales Corners, WI 53130) from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow at Hales Corners Lutheran Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hales Corners Lutheran School are appreciated.
