Called home to the Lord on Monday July 20, 2015 age 88 years. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Hanson). Dear father of William Jr “Bill” and Sandra (David) Gummin. Loving grandfather of Chris and Marisa. Brother of the late Howard (Mary Jo) Schuppert. Brother-in-law of Warren Hanson and the late Beverly Heiderscheid. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 27, 2015 at the FUNERAL HOME from 4 pm until the time of service at 6pm.
Bill was proud to have worked as a City Forester in West Allis for over 40 years. In his retirement Bill served as a Red Coat at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Bill so loved the cities and the people of West Allis and Milwaukee. He relished in the many years that he volunteered for the West Allis “Old Timers Club” and also served in a variety of roles with the City of West Allis Retirees’ Association. He will be remembered and cherished by many in our community as a loyal friend and servant.
