William Edward Forman
He was born in Boston in 1931 to Eleanor and Benjamin Forman and was the second of four children. Bill attended Purdue University for a year and later graduated from Boston University. In 1950 he joined the Navy as a radioman and was stationed in Puerto Rico. Upon leaving the Navy, he returned to Boston, where he created and ran his own marketing business for the next five decades.
His interests included golf, travel, reading, history, art, music, cooking, and sports.
He was a lifelong Red Sox fan.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis (Harris), his sister Dorritt, and his younger brother, Rabbi David Forman of Jerusalem, Israel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Diane (nee Schwartz) Forman of Mequon, his brother, Dr. James Forman (Adele) of Dallas, TX, his sister-in-law, Judith Forman of Jerusalem, Israel, and his four children: Deborah Lippman of Miami, FL, Bruce (Robin) Forman of Framingham, MA, Jeffrey Forman of Cape Coral, FL, and Andrew (Sharon) of Norton, MA. Bill also leaves his nine beloved grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family would appreciate donations in Bill’s memory made to the Milwaukee Jewish Federation: Israeli Emergency Fund, TV Channels 10-36, or Congregation Emanu-El.
