Sunday Sept.22, 2002. Age 82 years. Beloved husband of Lucy nee Drews. Father of Rev. William Paulette Allwardt, Mary Cavanagh, Brent Anita, Barbara Allwardt and Elizabeth Herzog. Grandfather of Charice Chip Lott, William Allwardt, Sean Gina Cavanagh, Megan Ted Yemm, Moira Cavanagh, Christina Allwardt, Emily Allwardt, Sommer Herzog and Glenn Herzog. Great grandfather of William and Kelly Cavanagh. Brother-in-law of Audrey Allwardt and Hilbert June Drews. Further survived by many more relatives and friends. Bill was a WWII veteran, retired from Prudential Insurance Company, worked for the Lutheran Church Extension Fund and a member of The Martin Club. Funeral service Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Martini Ev. Lutheran Church, 1500 S. 16 St. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday at the church from 9:30 untill the time of service 11:00 AM. If so desired, memorials to St. Martini Ev. Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice appreciated.
